More Answered Prayer
At times it can feel like our committee is juggling 20 balls in the air. There are constantly some great conversations with people with great ideas. Often there are people with gifts that are well suited to a need that was just mentioned. Sometimes there are resources or opportunities that are just ‘there’ with no apparent reason… until a reason appears and Presto! a prayer is answered before it was prayed. Kinda cool.
From the beginning of our website we have had on our front burner a need for someone who can help our Cascade committee with logo design and some basic web design stuff. Well, we have been delighted to have Ahnie Draper volunteer (enthusiastically by all measures) to offer her assistance in this important task. What a pleasant answer to prayer at just the right time.
In our involvement with PoVa, we have been hoping and praying for a project manager for the Sensory Riding Trail project that we are helping with. We are very happy to announce that Steve Penhall has offered to volunteer his time and energy for this critical need. This came about from the recommendation of Carol Stenstrud, a “fan” of Cascade since hearing about our crazy ideas when we presented to the Deacons.
It is great to see the fencing go up to the sensory trail. It will provide a greater measure of safety as students therapeutically hear new sounds, feel different textures, and see new sights. The provision of the fencing, the gifting of a matching corral, selection of contractors have all had their own stories of God’s provision.
There are so many places where God is at work through the lives of ordinary people who are learning to live in surrender to Him.
